Podcasting my way ahead

Today as I was driving back home with my friend we talked about how great it will be if we started a podcast.

I have always enjoyed podcasts. They are insightful, informative and have served me with great bits of wisdom about work and life.

If my memory serves me right, I first took the plunge into the world of podcasts when I was looking for a smarter way to spend my time driving.

I realized 40% of my daily activity was driving to and from clients and that I wanted to listen to something other than music all day.

So casually I went to my “best friend” google and asked for podcasts recommendation on Startups. I was served with Gimlet Media’s Startup podcast. This podcast still remains to be one of my favorites owing to its brilliant narratives and experience sharing. I might have also enjoyed it personally since I have been walking that journey.

Ever since that, I have always travelled listening to one podcasts or the other. A lot of what Gimlet produces are now my favorites. I have also immensely enjoyed the NPR’s Ted Radio Hour podcast and How I Built this podcast hosted by the brilliant Guy Raz. Another one of my favorites is Seth Godin’s Akimbo.

There are some podcasts that I have never really liked also. Some of them including the Marketing School by Neil Patel & Eric Siu. Even though I have admired the work of both the hosts, I have never really liked the podcast.

Maybe it is because I am more inclined towards a good story telling experience than listening to two people talk to each other.

I really believe podcasts are great and it is great to see that the trend is slowly but surely picking up in India. It will be so amazing to see great podcasts coming from our country.

As I write this, I have still no idea if I will enter into the world of podcasting. But it sure will be a great thing to do.

Let us see if it will happen…
